Biography

Rhianydd set up Dragons & Daffodils Cakes in July 1999.


Rhianydd has made over 1200 wedding cakes to date, writes articles for Squires Kitchen Magazine Publications; teaches Cake Decoration, chocolate and Sugarcraft for Adult Eduction Courses and is a Demonstrator for the British Sugarcraft Guild.

Awards

  • Rhianydd was runner up for "Celebration Cake Maker of the Year 2007" at the British Bakery Industry Awards. She was also delighted to with the Portrait Pencil Art Competition "The Young and the Old" with her portrait of her grandfather and eldest son "Grampy and Kieran".

Education

  • Originally a musician by Education, Rhianydd began cake decorating to provide birthday cakes for her children. Initially self taught, Rhianydd has achieved certificates in Sugarcraft, Cake Decorating, Chocolate work and Sugar Flowers and is now a Tutor for Rhondda Cynon Taff Adult Education.
