White Chocolate Wraps
This was fun to do but took a little while. Originally I wanted to upload the cake I did on new years eve for the general manager of the 5* Celtic Manor Hotel, Newport (home for the Ryder cup in 2010), but the room was so dark it was impossible to take decent photos  So, I thougt I would upload this one instead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I cut 2 1/2" discs of raspberry sponge, put them on 3" cake cards, coated with white chocolate fudge, then used Callebaut white chocolate spread onto a frozen slab of granite, cut into strips and wrapped round each of the mini cakes, then round the top tier. The tops of the cakes were dressed with white chocolate shavings. The cakes were simply dressed with fresh strawberries and raspberries. Quite a simple cake, but we were really pleased, thought it looked quite elegant on the table. Photo is a tiny bit blurry, but there isn't any detail on the cake and thought it would serve as an idea for people anyway. Hope you like it too. |
