My 100th Deviation on DA!!

This was originally intended to be another Christmas present, but as the drawing has progressed, myself and my husbnd both decided that we couldn't give this one away. :blushes:

I won't get to keep any of the personal portraits I have done on here so far, so this one, of my two boys............no longer babies,........is just that bit too precious.

I have another drawing lined up, so I will give that as the present instead. It was between the two anyway! ;)

My boys are both really pleased with how they look in the drawing.

It is A4 150gsm Cartridge paper with graphite pencils, I also used the Derwent dark Onyx graphite pencil for the background.

The original photograph I worked from was quite blurry, but hopefully it has turned out okay.


*Edit* When I got up this morning and looked, It looked shallow, no depth, so have added more shadows. Looks more like the photograph now, strange how you see things afresh in the morning.....I promise I'll leave it alone now! :blushes:
